Formal and informal language

 In August 16th we learned about formal and informal language. Formal language is used under a serious or professional circumstance. Circumstances that may be considered formal are college essays and business letters. Informal language is used in casual circumstances. A few circumstances that informal language is use in are talking with friends and dialogue within stories.

 When my mom went to prison I feel like my life changed completely. In that moment I wanted the world to stop for me so I could break down but the world doesn’t stop for anybody so I had to pull myself together and continue as if nothing changed.

 Today we did paperwork in class because the power was out. Although it wasn’t anything hard I think I prefer electronic work. We read a prompt and looking at two sources. We also listed the implications for the claims we made.
